Stone Connection Australia is excited to announce the arrival of our newest version of Rosal limestone in our classic Bourgogne finish. Reminiscent of a classic French farmhouse floor or relaxing beach house hideaway, Bourgogne creates a look both classic and fresh. The stone's colour is light linen with subtle shells scattered randomly throughout. For finish we've given the product a great patina by tumbling and brushing the surface. Through both processes, years of subtle wear and classic sawing of the edges have been recreated thus providing a soft smooth texture under foot. With its refreshing colour palette, Rosal is highly versatile with most modern decor. Suited for both interior and exterior use, Rosal can be carried throughout a project for creating a beautiful and peaceful escape from the headaches of life.

Premium Light Travertine Pavers

Stone Connection Australia has just received its new stock of Premium Light Travertine Pavers. Originating from Turkey, they are available in two sizes and come tumbled, honed and un-filled. The pavers are literally put into a drum with rocks and chunks of cement and "tumbled" to be finished. The result is a paver that has a worn face and edges, giving the stone a more rustic, natural look and ensures the edges are are worn to a smooth safe finish.

Travertine is a great choice around swimming pools and wet areas as it has a high natural salt resistance. It's light, neutral shade also makes it ideal for outdoor entertainment areas as it will remain cool under the foot. It has a high co-efficient of friction meaning that Travertine will provide a safe walking and play service in these areas for the whole family.  It requires little maintenance and is a hard-wearing, versatile natural stone used for many applications.

Striato Travertine Vein Cut now at Stone Connection Australia!

Stone Connection Australia is proud to announce its new arrival of Striato Travertine Vein Cut from Turkey.  These tiles are a classic medium shade similar in appearance to the Italian Romano.  Vein-cut is the most classic and enduring look in travertine. Being cut this way, it shows the layers built up over millions of years and gives a lovely linear appearance. Our Vein Cut Travertine comes filled and honed leaving a lovely matte finish.  In addition to the alternative appearance of the cross-cut, vein-cut can be more suitable for heavy traffic areas as the holes are long, narrow and deep vs. the wide, shallow fill found on cross-cut.

Travertine is one of the most frequently used stones in modern architecture and works well with modern interior colour schemes. This stone is durable and commonly used for flooring and wall cladding in all areas, including  some wet areas. When used on walls the veins running across each tile look particularly effective. It is also great for fireplaces, paving patios and garden paths. Two iconic installations within the city are the Ivy Bar and Art Museum.

Stone Connection Australia is proud to announce its new arrival Travertine Light Select, a first grade premium quality Travertine tile from Turkey. It is hand selected to ensure consistent colour and quality while also avoiding the tiles with large air pockets. All small pitted holes pre-filled and honed at the factory for a nice smooth finish. This warm, light beige tile looks beautiful in contemporary and traditional settings.
Travertine Light Select is a firm favourite with designers and architects alike for its clean appearance, consistent colouration and limited amounts of filler. It is honed and suitable for flooring, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms and high traffic areas in both commercial and residential applications.

Rosal Limestone is well wearing making it suitable for residential walling and flooring and a reliable choice for light commercial usage. With a uniform light concentration of shells and fossils, this limestone is very attractive to customers looking for consistency in colour while still retaining plenty of natural character. The consistency of this stone is also exhibited when tiled with a tight grout joint, as the floor can appear almost seamless. When designing for both classic and modern, the cool tones are perfectly suited to accompany a wide range of colours associated with what is current in today's decor.

Jura Grey Limestone

Jura Grey Limestone has arrived at Stone Connection Australia!

Stone Connection is proud to introduce Jura Grey to its collection of natural stone. Jura Grey is a limestone originating from Germany, formed in the Jurassic period around 180 million years ago. It consists of natural glass/quartz veins and variable fossils on a blue-grey background. The effect it gives off is true classic with a contemporary twist making it perfect for both modern and traditional architecture.

The Jura Grey limestone is a considerably hard limestone preferred for flooring, walls, cladding and diverse stonework. This limestone has gained its reputation for its durability, hardness and favourable technical properties, especially if compared with similar limestones. It is also a limestone with considerable demand on the European and international markets. It is today common to find applications of the Jura Grey limestone on several exterior cladding applications, where it is applied using different posing techniques. The Jura limestone also works wonderfully for masonry, garden decoration and interior decoration for foyers, bathrooms and kitchens.
