Stone Connection Australia is proud to announce its new arrival Moca Crème Limestone. It originates from Portugal and is characterised by its beige colour, parallel fossil veins and uniform background. The stone has a medium grain with a honed finish, is hardwearing and cost-effective, requiring little maintenance.

Moca Crème Limestone is ideal for wall cladding and both domestic and commercial floorings. As there is not much variance, it leaves a clean canvas to work with various styles and themes. Its neutral, light yet warm and smooth background also makes a beautiful combination with some darker limestones, granites and marbles.

This type of limestone is a top choice among architects and decorators worldwide due to its effective linear structure. It gains much recognition for its use in masonry and stonework done for interior designing such as columns, fireplaces and basins, as well as garden decorations such as fountains.

Stone Connection Australia is excited to introduce Flagstone Mats to its selection of products. Hot on the market right now, Flagstone Mats are an increasingly popular choice for paths courtyards, patio, gardens and driveways. Flagstone Mats are made of slate or quartzite. Selected natural stones are adhered to a unique mesh backing with each mat covering .25m2 and being of the same geometrical shape, although the size of the stones are different on each. The random pattern, once installed, will show no signs of repetition and the finished product looks as if each stone was placed individually. Flagstone mats are suitable for both outside and inside flooring and wall decorations for residential, commercial and landscaping projects. Using Flagstone Mats greatly reduces the installation/labor time and eliminates the need of creativity from the installer. The mats can also be installed in different ways in order to cater for the look or feel you wish to create. Laying the
flagstone dry or with plant material in between makes the surface permeable which has the benefit of ground-capture runoff, reducing water evaporation and let alone is more appealing than other materials. Planting moss, turf or ground cover throughout the stones provides an inviting and relaxing space.

Stone Connection Australia introduces its latest design on a landscape standard the "Grid" series.  Using standard granite colours popular for paving and cobbles, each tile has been precisely scored to give a clean uniform cobble look  installed without the irregular and sloppy grout lines often associated.  As an alternative to the cobbles on mesh, Grid tiles are uniform, easy to handle and simple to install.  Each score line measures 5mm in width and deep enough to grout.  Upon a clients final decision, tiles can either be grouted or left naked.  As the standard tile sizing is 400x400, installers can easily mount on the substrate without having to "eyeball" grout joints for uniformity.   Each 400x400 piece gives the illusion of 16 cobbles.  Priced competitively to the sheeted cobbles, the "Grid" series is a fantastic alternative for clients to consider.

Stone Connection Australia is proud to announce its new arrival of Striato Travertine Vein Cut from Turkey.  These tiles are a classic medium shade similar in appearance to the Italian Romano.  Vein-cut is the most classic and enduring look in travertine. Being cut this way, it shows the layers built up over millions of years and gives a lovely linear appearance. Our Vein Cut Travertine comes filled and honed leaving a lovely matte finish.  In addition to the alternative appearance of the cross-cut, vein-cut can be more suitable for heavy traffic areas as the holes are long, narrow and deep vs. the wide, shallow fill found on cross-cut.

Travertine is one of the most frequently used stones in modern architecture and works well with modern interior colour schemes. This stone is durable and commonly used for flooring and wall cladding in all areas, including  some wet areas. When used on walls the veins running across each tile look particularly effective. It is also great for fireplaces, paving patios and garden paths. Two iconic installations within the city are the Ivy Bar and Art Museum.
